Uttarakand to construct 21,398 polyhouses to boost flower and vegetable production

PM Narendra Modi, on a tour of Uttarakhand today, announced to construct 21,398 polyhouses in the state to boost flower and vegetable production. During his one day tour , he also unveils development schemes worth Rs 4,200 crores for the state.

Earlier on the day, he commenced his Uttarakhand tour with a visit to Parvati Kund in Pithoragarh, where he offered prayers. Afterward, he explored the traditional products showcased at the Ran Samaj stall in Gunji and even played the traditional musical instrument, the Dhol. The Prime Minister greeted the people by shaking their hands and inaugurated various development projects amounting to approximately Rs 4,200 crore in Pithoragarh.

The Prime Minister’s visit to Adi Kailash, near the China and Nepal borders, marked a historic moment, emphasizing India’s spiritual heritage and its growing global presence. Adi Kailash, a site of religious significance at an altitude of over 14,000 feet, embodies the spirit of India, often associated with Lord Shiva.

Modi Unveils Rs 4,200 crores development schemes for Uttarakhand

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has initiated an array of developmental projects in Uttarakhand’s Pithoragarh, gifting the state a staggering investment of approximately Rs 4,200 crores. The projects encompass a diverse range of initiatives, including the construction of 21,398 polyhouses to boost flower and vegetable production, the cultivation of high-density intensive apple orchards, the expansion of national highways, fire safety infrastructure enhancements, and the strengthening of disaster preparedness.

In addition to these transformative projects, Prime Minister Modi also inaugurated 76 rural roads and 25 bridges built in rural areas under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY). Furthermore, he announced to establish hostels and computer labs in 20 model degree colleges,  a 100-bed sub-district hospital in Someshwar, Almora, and the construction of a 50-bed hospital block in Champawat.
